Profile & Biography
Zaman Khan's slingy right-arm action, rapid pace and pinpoint yorkers drew feverish comparisons to Lasith Malinga when he made his PSL debut in 2022. With the Lahore Qalandars side, he was part of a fearsome bowling quartet alongside Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Rashid Khan, each in the prime of their careers.
Zaman was one of the chief architects of Qalandars' title wins in 2022 and in 2023, arguably the best bowler of each final. It culminated in a nerve-shredding 2023 final in which he defended 12 off the last over to give Qalandars a one-run win.
But he has been unable to replicate that success internationally, although injuries didn't help either, and he lost his place in the T20 side just before the 2024 World Cup. It has also coincided with a difficult couple of years at the PSL, with Zaman conceding at 9.87 and 9.30 in 2024 and 2025 respectively.
