Naman Dhir

Naman Dhir is a batting allrounder from Punjab who won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with them in 2023-24. Dhir only played a peripheral role in that title win, but had done enough in the state's Sher-E-Punjab T20 league to attract the attention of Mumbai Indians' scouting network. He was the second-highest run-getter in that tournament, with 466 runs at a strike rate of almost 193. At the 2024 IPL auction, Mumbai snapped Dhir up for his base price of INR 20 lakh. In the injury-forced absence of Suryakumar Yadav, Dhir made his IPL debut against Gujarat Titans in Mumbai's first game of the season and slotted in at No. 3.

- Naman Dhir earned his maiden IPL contract when Mumbai Indians picked him up for INR 20 lakh at the 2024 auction. He went on to play seven games that season, in which the highlight was his unbeaten 28-ball 62 against Lucknow Super Giants in their last league game.

- He was released after that season but then became the only player MI used the right-to-match option for in the 2025 auction, but for a whopping INR 5.25 crore.

- He was among only four MI players to play all 16 games in 2025 and smashed 252 runs at a strike rate of 182.60, second-best for them that season.
