Megan Schutt

Megan Schutt became a mainstay of Australia's seam attack with her big inswingers and more recently developed legcutter her trademark deliveries.

Schutt made her debut in 2012 and played her first World Cup the following year in India where she finished as the leading wicket-taker when Australia claimed the title with victory over West Indies.

In 2019 she became the first female bowler to take two international hat-tricks when her feat against West Indies in an ODI followed the same in a T20I against India the previous year.

At the 2020 T20 World Cup, Schutt was again the leading wicket-taker including with 13 including four in the final against India. In early 2021 she became the second-fastest female to 100 ODI wickets and she is comfortably Australia's leading wicket-taker in T20Is as of early 2026.

There was a sense the 2025 ODI World Cup could mark the end of her career in that format, but she earned a recall during the following season although she has regularly said she wouldn't be going through another four-year cycle.

Domestically, Schutt has a formidable WBBL for Adelaide Strikers and took a combined 49 wickets across their back-to-back titles in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons.
