Grace Harris

Few batters in the world hit the ball harder than Grace Harris, who has been a dominant figure in the Australian domestic game while never afraid of having a bit of fun while doing it.

Internationally her career has never quite taken off - partly due to the sheer strength of the era for Australia - but, having made her debut in 2015, she has been a regular around the T20I set-up since returning in 2022 following a six-year gap.

Her best run to date run came in the 2022-2023 period where she was part of the side which won gold at the Commonwealth Games (making a vital 37 off 20 balls against India when Australia were 49 for 5 in a chase), hitting what remains her highest score of 64 not out off 35 balls, also against India, and being part of the side which won the 2023 T20 World Cup.

She is viewed as a versatile player by the selectors, capable of batting anywhere from No. 1 to No. 8, while her offspin is a very handy second-string although has had a bigger role to play in domestic and franchise cricket.

Harris has produced some viral moments, none more so than when she plundered an unbeaten 136 off 59 balls in the WBBL (at the time the tournament's highest score) which included launching one of her 11 sixes with a bat which split in half when she struck the ball. "Hey guys, I need a new bat," she was heard saying on the stump mic. "Stuff it, I'll still hit it!" Which she did.
