Aryan Dutt

A tall offspinner, Aryan Dutt makes good use of his six-foot frame while bowling and gets plenty of revs on the ball.

He opened the bowling in the 2023 World Cup and was economical in the powerplay, although his batting exploits were more memorable when Netherlands beat South Africa during the tournament. His nine-ball 23 from No. 10 contained three sixes, including one off Kagiso Rabada. He finished the World Cup with ten wickets, with best figures of 3 for 44, against Sri Lanka.

He made his international debut as a 17-year-old, in a T20I tri-series in Kirtipur Nepal in 2021. At the same venue, three years later, Dutt became the first Netherlands spinner to take a six-for in an ODI, when he bundled out Namibia for 123 in a World Cup League 2 match.

Dutt, whose parents moved from India to Netherlands before he was born, grew up idolising MS Dhoni, and spent time between 2016 and 2019 training in Chandigarh.
