Profile & Biography
Described by his domestic coach as a "naturally attacking player with a solid defence", Abdullah Fazal showcased both qualities on his Test debut, scoring 60 and 66 in Dhaka on Pakistan's tour of Bangladesh in 2026.
Fazal had an underwhelming start to his competitive red-ball career, scoring only 27 runs in four innings in the now defunct Hanif Mohammad Trophy. But he pushed through with determination to top the run charts in the 2025-26 President's Trophy. He was also player of the final in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy the same season, with the scores of 88 and 114 in Karachi Blues' triumph over defending champions Sialkot.
He was snapped by Rawalpindiz for the 2026 PSL, but had a middling season as he found himself called in lower down the order, despite being a top-order batter. A lower back injury later that year proved a major setback, as he was ruled out of Test tours of West Indies and England.
