Profile & Biography

Legspinner Sarah Glenn won an international call-up for England's 2019 series against Pakistan in Malaysia on the back of an impressive Kia Super League season, and five weeks later was named in their squad for the T20 World Cup in Australia, where she took six wickets and conceded just 4.25 runs per over before England were knocked out by rain in the semi-finals.
After the Covid-19 pandemic had threatened to wipe out the 2020 summer, Glenn ended the season as England's Player of the Series against West Indies, with seven wickets in five games and a useful cameo with the bat from No. 7 to back up her claim that she wanted to be considered as a "genuine allrounder".
Glenn went wicketless and conceded 39 runs from three overs in the only T20I completed during the rain-affected Ashes in early 2022 and then opted out of the 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, where she would have been a travelling reserve. It would be a year before she played another ODI - in the next Ashes series - and six months for another T20I. She spent the time leading up to South Africa's tour of England shortening her run-up, which she felt offered a more stable base to work on her variations.
She took three four-wicket hauls in T20Is during 2024 but played just two of England's six white-ball fixtures with West Indies during the home summer of 2025 and was overlooked for India's subsequent tour, making the World Cup's spin-friendly pitches a tantalising stage for a comeback.
