Profile & Biography
A diminutive top-order batter, Robin Das came through the Essex academy and age-group teams and initially won his chance in white-ball cricket. In 2023, he struck a 101-ball hundred on first-class debut against Ireland, as the tourists warmed up for their Test against England. He was also a mainstay of the T20 side as Essex reached the Blast final, only to be beaten by Somerset. The following summer he scored his maiden List A century, against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
Das studied history at LSE. He is British-Bangladeshi - his father is from Sylhet - and in 2023 he was picked up by Dhaka Dominators to play in the BPL.
