Lucy Hamilton

Lucy Hamilton, a left-arm quick from Bundaberg in Queensland, made her international debuts across all three formats in less than a month during March 2026 with a particularly impressive return in the Test against India at the WACA where she claimed six wickets.

As a former Under-19 captain, Hamilton had been on the selectors' radar for a couple of seasons and did enough in her early appearances to secure a place in the 2026 T20 World Cup squad with her left-arm angle a rare point of difference in the women's game.

She had became Queensland's second-youngest WNCL debutant when she played at age 15 in 2022. Two years later for Brisbane Heat in WBBL she claimed 5 for 8 against Melbourne Stars.

Hamilton is a very capable batter, too, often playing up the order at youth level and she showed her skills with 36 off 19 balls on her WPL debut for Delhi Capitals and a composed 23 in the Test against India.
