Kim Garth

Kim Garth, a bustling medium-pacer and handy batter, is among those to have played international cricket for two teams having started her career with Ireland before moving to Australia where she became eligible for selection in 2022.

Garth was just 14 when she made her debut for Ireland in 2010 and played in three World Cups for them before shifting her life to Australia in 2020 having already been part of the WBBL for Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers with considerable success.

Having secured Australian residency, she made her second international debut in 2022 against India with ODI and Test caps coming in the following year. She has remained part of all three formats although the 50-over game is her most regular role where her new-ball swing is a threat and she was part of the 2025 ODI World Cup squad.

The depth of Australia's order means her batting plays less of a role than it did for Ireland, but she is capable of valuable contributions as she showed with a vital 38 against New Zealand in the opening game of the ODI World Cup.

Alongside an extensive WBBL career, Garth has also appeared in the WPL and Hundred. One of her more remarkable performances came in the 2021 WBBL for Melbourne Stars when she had figures of 3-3-0-3 after her first spell against Sydney Thunder.
