Profile & Biography

Darcie Brown emerged as one the most exciting fast-bowling talents in the game. She can swing the new ball and has an excellent bouncer. Brown represented the Australia Under-19 side when she was 15 and signed her first deal with Adelaide Strikers at 16 - the youngest player for the club across the male and female programs. Her pace really caught the eye when she made her WBBL debut in the 2020-21 season when she claimed 3 for 13 in her first outing in a campaign that brought 10 wickets at an economy rate of 5.52.
Those performances helped earn a call-up to the Australia squad for the tour of New Zealand in early 2021 where she made debuts in both ODI and T20I formats with a Test debut following later in the year. She featured in both the victorious 2022 ODI World Cup campaign and 2023 T20 World Cup as well as helping Australia to the gold medal in the 2022 Commonwealth Games. In 2024 against South Africa at the WACA she claimed a five-wicket haul in the Test match.
