Profile & Biography

A stalwart of BBL cricket with Sydney Sixers, Ben Dwarshuis' stock has risen considerably in recent seasons with more regular Australia honours. A left-arm pace bowler capable of swing with the new ball, he also possesses excellent control of a wide range of variations while his strong hitting, especially over the leg side, adds to his all-round value.
Though Dwarshuis was first selected in an Australia squad as a 23-year-old for the T20 tri-series in New Zealand in 2017-18, his debut didn't arrive until 2022, when he featured in a one-off T20 at the end of the tour of Pakistan. The following year he played a brace of matches in India - claiming five wickets - but it wasn't until 2025 that he earned a more regular run.
ODI opportunities also arose, although his debut against England at Trent Bridge was cut short by injury. When Australia needed reinforcements for the 2025 Champions Trophy, he finished as their leading wicket-taker.
He was twice featured in IPL squads - in 2018 and 2021 - without making a debut in the competition but has been a regular in the T20 Blast and played the PSL in 2025.
