Twitter reactions: This time for Arfica

Spelling the tournament's name wrongly in the logo - Arfica instead of Africa - is a mistake that is hard to defend. Perhaps the most generous explanation came from @Maloosa.

Maybe #Arfica is a play on Our Africa and it will become the new "it word" for the T20 Cup!? @OfficialCSA

Others were more sarcastic.

Ingore teh htaers @OfficialCSA. Presonally I cna't see aynthing worng wtih yuor lgoo. #ArficaT20Cup

It's only a spelling mistake but has got everyone talking and the tournament trending in certain areas no doubt. Clever marketing #ARFICA

Fair play to Cricket SA, it's not easy to rebrand a whole continent #arfica

Many took to reworking songs and sayings about Africa.

This time for Arfica.

I always loved that song #Arfica by #Otot

#TIA - this is Arfica

Some people really enjoyed the goof-up.

Proteas could bowl England out for 0 in the first test, but the Arfica T20 Cup launch will still be my cricketing highlight of the year.

Cricket South Africa later apologised for the mistake, managing to throw in a joke as well.

We apologize for the oversight on the #AfricaT20Cup logo. We're glad we could provide you with a good (l)arf though…
