Glenn Maxwell
90 vs Melbourne Renegades
BBL, Melbourne

Melbourne Stars had all but resigned themselves to being out of the playoffs when they were 45 for 4, and then sank further to 75 for 7, but Maxwell did more than just hang on grimly at the other end; he flayed ten sixes and four fours, forged a partnership of 81off 46 balls with the No. 9, Usama Mir (where Mir's contribution was 0 runs) and dragged his side to 165. No other batter made more than about a fifth of Maxwell's score in the innings, bringing his similarly odds-defying double-hundred in the 2023 World Cup ODI against Afghanistan to mind. By the 17th over, Maxwell cut loose, hitting two sixes off Kane Richardson, and then three in three balls off Will Sutherland. By then, Stars had 152 on the board, and they added another 13. It proved more than enough in the end.
Mitchell Owen
108 vs Sydney Thunder
BBL final, Hobart

Owen's BBL-record-equalling 39-ball hundred produced an emphatic first title win for Hurricanes, making easy work of Sydney Thunder's challenging total. Owen seized the day early, hitting Nathan McAndrew for 14 runs off the last three balls of the first over of the chase. In the third, he got stuck into Wes Agar, making 22 off four scoring shots. There weren't any sizeable contributions at the other end - when fellow opener Caleb Jewell was out for 13 in the eighth over, Owen had made 85 out of Hurricanes' 109 - but Owen motored on, relentless, and when he was out a little over halfway into the innings, his side had only 44 runs to get, which they polished off in the next three overs.
Avishka Fernando
81 vs Dubai Capitals
ILT20, Sharjah

Dubai Capitals motored to a strong total, but Fernando's innings in Warriorz' chase made jaws drop. Coming in after the openers had gone at ten an over in the first five, he pulled the second ball he faced for a six, and then continued in the same vein, finishing with exactly three runs for every ball he faced. At one point, early in his innings, all but one of nine consecutive balls Fernando faced went to the boundary or over it. Pity poor Gulbadin Naib, against whom Fernando struck at 388. Warriorz got to the massive target with room to spare.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi
101 vs Gujarat Titans
IPL, Jaipur

Fourteen-year-old Suryavanshi broke a ton of records in this innings, becoming the youngest to make a T20 hundred (the second-fastest in the IPL) among other things. Titans could have been forgiven for thinking they had it in the bag when they piled up 209 but Suryavanshi soon had them ruing the day, making Yashasvi Jaiswal's strike rate of 175 at the other end look geriatric by comparison. Karim Janat was put to the sword, giving up 30 runs off his six balls to Suryavanshi. By the time he was out in the 12th over, Royals had only 44 to get in eight overs. And to think that there were 12 dot balls in the innings - which meant Suryavanshi scored close to four runs off each of the 26 balls he managed to get away.
Kusal Perera
62 not out vs Quetta Gladiators
PSL final, Lahore

Gladiators set Qalandars a target of 202 - daunting for a final - but the home side aced the chase, going sharp but steady in the first half of their innings before Perera came in and delivered the turbo-charge that took them to the win. When he hit a four of his first ball but then took only one boundary off the next 14, it seemed unlikely that Perera would finish with a strike rate of 200, but the man had a plan. He upped the ante in the 16th over and kept the pressure on the Gladiators bowlers from there, taking Qalandars to the brink with 14 off three deliveries from Mohammad Amir and then finishing things off in the first two balls of the last over.
Shreyas Iyer
87 not out vs Mumbai Indians
IPL Qualifier 2, Ahmedabad

On the sizeable Ahmedabad ground, Mumbai Indians put up a total fit to evoke apprehension, but the PBKS openers launched themselves at it with gusto, as they had done against similar scores all season. Still, both were back in the hut before the powerplay ended. Enter Iyer, who produced a masterclass of attack, putting on 84 runs with Nehal Wadhera to break the back of Mumbai's total. Iyer started circumspectly, with 12 off his first 11 deliveries, but let himself break free in the 13th over with three sixes back to back off Reece Topley. He then went back to being measured for a short stretch before teeing off against Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, and particularly Ashwani Kumar - who bore the brunt, going for 37 runs off his 14 balls to Iyer - taking Kings to the target with a full over to spare.

Finn Allen
151 vs Washington Freedom
MLC, Oakland

Allen's innings, in the MLC season opener, is arguably the standout display of power-hitting on this list. His 151 came at a strike rate just shy of 300, in a game where the next-highest score was less than a third the size of his. All but 17 of his runs came off boundaries - of which 19 were sixes, a new T20 record for a match, surpassing Chris Gayle. Allen's fellow opener, fellow New Zealander Tim Seifert, was out in the third over, and Jake Fraser-McGurk went cheaply in the sixth, but Allen was unstoppable, smearing sixes seemingly at will. In the ninth over he hit three in a row, off Mitchell Owen; in the tenth and the 11th, he got four off four, from Jack Edwards and Glenn Phillips. By the time he was out, San Francisco Unicorns were on 232 for 5, and they finished on 269, which was 123 runs more than they needed as it turned out.
Tim Seifert
125 not out vs Antigua and Barbuda Falcons
CPL, Gros Islet

Siefert's innings, the joint-fastest CPL hundred (off 40 balls, equalling an Andre Russell effort from 2018) knocked the wind out of the sails of Falcons', who might have been excused for thinking they had produced a match-winning total. He hit two of the first three legal deliveries of the chase for sixes, and kept going in much the same vein until the target was reached - with more than two overs to spare. In the fourth over, when he was on 30, Seifert was reprieved off the bowling of Shakib al Hasan, following which he rubbed salt into the wound, taking 24 off Shakib's next over. He finished proceedings in style, thrashing a length ball from Jayden Seales over midwicket to seal the fifth-largest CPL chase.
Ashton Turner
99 not out vs Sydney Thunder
BBL, Sydney

Turner turned the fireworks on on the penultimate day of the year, just when it looked like Perth Scorchers were destined for a low total. He came in at 34 for 3 in the sixth over, after Nathan McAndrew and Reece Topley had kept Scorchers quiet on a surface with some juice in it, and took his side to 202. Seventy-six of those runs came in a partnership with Cooper Connolly, and another 52 with tailender Aaron Hardie. Turner scored almost unobtrusively - remarkable in an innings where he struck at close to 250, save for brief bursts of calculated violence, like when he made 22 off four balls from Chris Green, or 16 off four from Daniel Sams late in the piece. Thunder didn't have anyone in their side to perform the Turner role and were routed by 71 runs
Andries Gous
120 not out Desert Vipers vs MI Emirates
ILT20 Qualifier 1, Abu Dhabi

Gous' rambunctious innings in the qualifier took Vipers to their third ILT20 final (and first title win, early in 2026). In 2024, Vipers felt the keen edge of Gous' blade when he made an unbeaten 95 against them for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in his very first ILT20 game; this time, it was MI's turn to pay. Having started circumspectly, with 8 off nine balls, Gous plucked two deliveries from Romario Shepherd off his legs and launched them into the stands in the fifth over. The other opener, Fakhar Zaman, didn't hang about either, but Vipers made only 90 off the first ten. Fakhar's dismissal, in the 16th over, seemed to light a fire under Gous, who hit three sixes and a four in the next six balls he faced, which took him to the brink of his hundred. He celebrated the milestone with two more meaty sixes off the hapless Shepherd, which took his team past 200, and Gous' total off Shepherd's 15 deliveries to 41 runs.
